Below is a note from CSNTM staff. –Ed.
On Saturday, April 29, 2017 nearly 200 people gathered at the George Bush Institute to celebrate the incredible work accomplished by CSNTM in the last year and to look ahead at their upcoming projects.
Executive Director, Dr. Daniel B. Wallace, shared that in 2016, CSNTM completed their two-year project to digitize the Greek New Testament manuscripts at the National Library of Greece! This project was made possible by dozens of faithful partners who played a key role in preserving almost 150,000 pages of New Testament texts. Check out the video to see firsthand footage of the project.
Dr. Wallace also previewed the Center’s multiple upcoming projects, including the purchase of multi-spectral imaging equipment that is necessary to digitize manuscripts whose text has been erased or damaged. Many people responded to the invitation to partner with CSNTM to make these projects a reality.
We would like to give special thanks to many people who were involved in planning the Dallas banquet. First, thank you to the members of the Dallas advisory board who played an invaluable role in making this event possible. In particular, we’d like to thank Kevin Gilliland for hosting the evening as the emcee. We also are incredibly grateful to everyone who partnered with us to digitally preserve and study the New Testament for generations to come.
